FASTLIFE HISTORY
Version 1.0 (Release 1)
Initial Release
Version 1.1
The VERSION Shell command is supported.
The flags passed to the ARP file requester were corrected.
The Tools menu was changed to CalcMode menu.
Anything following FastLife's name on the command line forces CPU
calculation mode.
FastLife's version is shown in its Workbench window.
SaveAs and Save menu items were removed.
When opening a Relative or Picture format file the mouse pointer
changes to indicate a mouse click is needed to position the lifeform.
Speed control with the number keys was added.
The Pause menu item was changed to Stop.
Various menu shortcut keys were added.
A Control-Speed menu item was added to explain how to control the
speed of FastLife.
A Project-Priority menu item was added to select a task priority of
higher (1), Normal (0) or Lower (-1).
The Icon Tooltypes CALCMODE=BLITTER and CALCMODE=CPU were added.
Clicking on FastLife's Workbench window brings the FastLife screen to
front.
FastLife adapts to "any" Screen and Default text height and width.
"FASTLIFE" now appears on the startup screen.
The 'B' and 'C' keys select blitter and CPU, respectively.
Menu checkmarks and ghosting were added where appropriate.
".life" is added to file names if not supplied.
And last but not least, there was a code cleanup.
Version 1.2 (Release 2)
B and C keys disabled (menu checkmarks weren't updated properly).
Version 2.01
Kickstart 2.04+, and LIBS:reqtools.library v2.1+ are required.
Multiple screen modes and non-standard screen sizes are supported.
FastLife supports the run-length encoded (RLE) file format.
Various menu shortcut keys were added or changed.
The Generation menu item now has for subitems: Show, Zero, RunFor
and StopAt.
The mouse pointer's position is shown while waiting for a click.
The right mouse button will cancel..
The custom screen font is forced to Topaz 8.
The screen is cleared on the first Open.
The calculation mode is set to CPU if the screen width or height is
greater than 1023.
The Tooltypes/CLI arguments ALIVECHAR and FILEPAT are supported.
".life" is no longer added to a file name if not specified.
The <Esc> key quits FastLife immediately.

Fixed low memory failure.
Version 2.03
Require screen Width>32, Height>32 to prevent lockup in blitter mode.

MungWall and Enforcer clean.

Use Tomas Rokicki's Life v6.2 code; remove CPU/blitter choice.
Added `torus' option.
Removed `Stop' menu item and made `Run' a checkmark/toggle item.
Check chip set and allow screen size of 16384x16384 or 1024x1024
as appropriate.
Use gadtools menus and layout routines.
Properly track checkmark in Priority menu.
Added random field creation.
Selecting `Cancel' in screen mode requester now quits FastLife.
MungWall and Enforcer clean.
